Stealing the Spotlight at Debut | DSTEK Claims Top Enterprise Award at AW2026, Accelerating Global Strategy

Automation World 2026 (AW2026) concluded successfully at COEX Convention & Exhibition Center in Seoul, South Korea, from March 4 to 6, 2026. Leading DSTEK (Dongsheng Intelligent Technology), its founder Han Xu, an alumnus of Seoul National University, headed the delegation to showcase the core technologies of industrial AI vision with a powerful presence. Bolstered by its industry-leading AI high-tech capabilities and project implementation experience across more than 30 countries worldwide, the company garnered intense attention from the industry at the exhibition and signed a number of strategic cooperation agreements, continuously deepening its global strategic layout.

In the Open Innovation Track of AW2026, DSTEK Korea won the Top Enterprise Award for its outstanding innovation and market potential in intelligent manufacturing, industrial automation and AI application fields. This award aims to discover and recognize enterprises that demonstrate groundbreaking technologies and business value in relevant sectors, serving as an authoritative recognition of the technological strength of AI in the industry.

    Keynote Speech

The Future of Industrial AI Vision Inspection

During the exhibition, the representative of DSTEK Korea delivered a keynote speech, exploring the cutting-edge trends of intelligent manufacturing with the Korean industrial, academic circles and international peers. It was highlighted in the speech that South Korea’s manufacturing industry is at a critical window for intelligent upgrading – traditional automation equipment is plagued by bottlenecks such as insufficient flexibility and data silos, while AI vision quality inspection is evolving from a "single-point tool" to a "manufacturing core". Leveraging its engineering capabilities honed through over 15,000 production lines worldwide, DSTEK is ready to deepen cooperation with the Korean industrial community, jointly explore the boundless possibilities of AI + Manufacturing, and support Korean enterprises to maintain a leading position in the global high-end manufacturing competition.

    Deepening Overseas Markets

Focusing on South Korea, Building a Full-chain Localized Operation System

At present, DSTEK’s South Korean subsidiary has been fully established. Gyuyoung Hwang, Global CEO and also the South Korean representative, holds an academic background in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Seoul National University, boasting profound technical expertise and a forward-looking business vision. A localized market development and technical team has also been built in South Korea, which integrates and optimizes local resources to provide AI vision intelligent solutions that are more tailored to local needs for customers in the region.

DSTEK’s booth remained a magnet for visitors throughout the exhibition, becoming the focus of attention from all sectors. Through the on-site display of core application scenarios including 3C precision manufacturing, auto parts inspection and new energy battery quality testing, DSTEK intuitively demonstrated its remarkable value in improving production efficiency and reducing defect rates. Representative Gyuyoung Hwang and the technical team conducted in-depth discussions with visiting guests on industry trends and cooperation opportunities, further strengthening DSTEK’s brand influence in the South Korean and global markets.

On-site Highlights: AI Solutions for Three Core Sectors

3C Sector: AI Vision Inspection for Smart Watch Glass

Addressing the inspection challenges of FC glass panels, curved R corners and complex structures, the multi-light source time-sharing exposure + small field-of-view high-precision scanning technology showcased on-site enables accurate identification of defects in both 3D curved and flat areas. In the on-site demonstration, the equipment achieved 1μm-level recognition accuracy for defects such as chipping, scratching and indentation.

Automotive Sector: High-speed Fly-shooting AI Vision Inspection for Stators

In the field of inspection for core components of new energy vehicle drive motors, DSTEK launched an advanced AI visual defect inspection solution with outstanding performance: 0.03mm/pixel precision, a minimum detectable defect size of 0.1mm×0.1mm, and a single-point inspection speed of only 0.06 seconds. It can accurately identify various defects including copper exposure, insufficient coating height, insulation paper damage, insufficient insulation paper protrusion height, wire damage at hairpin terminals and iron core warpage.

Lithium Battery Sector: AI Vision Inspection for Cylindrical/Prismatic Batteries

DSTEK’s world-first 2.5D + 3D + infrared time-sharing strobe inspection technology was the biggest highlight of the exhibition. The dual-line display of prismatic battery solutions and 46-series large cylindrical steel can solutions achieves a production capacity of 28 PPM for prismatic lithium batteries and 110 PPM for cylindrical batteries, directly meeting the production line upgrading needs of local South Korean and international lithium battery giants. The solution can identify more than 60 types of defects such as pole scratching, liquid leakage, PET film defects, case contamination, blue film bubbles and explosion-proof valve damage.

The successful debut at Automation World 2026 marks a new stage in DSTEK’s global strategy. Taking South Korea as a fulcrum, DSTEK will further deepen its industrial layout in the Asia-Pacific region, and empower more global manufacturing partners with its industrial AI vision closed-loop capabilities built on the three-stage architecture of Inspection - Decision - Optimization.

Looking ahead, driven by technological innovation and based on the application experience of over 15,000 production lines worldwide, DSTEK will continue to propel China’s intelligent manufacturing to make a louder voice in the global industrial AI vision sector.
